eulogy of a worm (2023), thesis presentation
at my grandfather’s funeral, the huge TV above the funeral procession exposed that my oldest cousin was reading his eulogy through his notes app on his phone. the next day, he was buried on a huge green hill, with the most perfect blue sky.
eulogy of a worm is a waiting room that exists in the nonfictional purgatory of the space between the grass and the earth. there’s even a #bonch you can sit on! the world feels picture-esque, a little too close to realities that don’t look like realities. or realities that have been documented to prove to us that some realities look too good to be one. attempts to see what else there is have been made: some of the tableaus peeled off the wall, some two dimensional objects transformed into three dimensional objects, all done in the silence where the grasshoppers scream all at the same time. grass borders and boxes the whole territory, what a natural occurrence!
